Purpose
With being a cheerleader comes great responsibility. A positive persona, good attitude, and respectfulness are expected at all times. Our purpose as cheerleaders is to develop our athletic skills while building healthy relationships within the squad and community. We shall perform chants on the sidelines and dance routines at halftime shows of games for our campus’ teams to keep the crowd and athletes engaged in the games. Each cheerleader is encouraged to show school spirit through the performance of cheer chants, stunts, and tumbling. Our goal is to establish a program that will lead to a team that can represent our school at collegiate level competitions. During competitions, we represent our school by showing others what we have worked for all season; as a squad member, we each must promote good sportsmanship and respect between the different teams we compete with.
Section A. This organization shall be known as the Don’s Cheerleading Club.
Section B. The purpose of this organization shall be to attend on and off-campus meetings: to learn routines and do exercises that maximize flexibility, increase strength, and teach musicality. As well as, represent Santa Ana College in the best way possible through good sportsmanship. Through donations and fundraising, we shall earn our way to competitions against other schools.
