Frequently Asked Questions

How are cheerleaders placed on the team roster?

Officers will vote after tryouts.

How much does it cost?

It is free to join, but you are restricted in activities. Full participation is allowed after you have white cheer shoes and follow other dress code rules outlined in the constitution. To participate in games, events, and tournaments you must have full designated cheer gear or uniform as posted for said activity. Squad gear is about $250 the first year. Team uniforms will change year after year as will prices.

What kind of training is there?

Due to the pandemic, we have had restricted practices. We will work on basic motions, dance turns, jumps, chants, and routines for the time being until we can book a cheer gym for tumbling. Conditioning on your own is expected. We hope to expand and increase the number of practices for the 21-22 school year. Keep an eye out for the schedule, so you can book classes around them.

What can you tell us about the Olympics?

We are not part of the athletics department, so we can not represent our school in most tournaments. We can prepare to transfer to schools that do fit the requirements for major competitions. Everything done will come from your hard work and time. As well as from the dedication of your fellow officers who are stepping up to fulfill a coach's duty.  It is not impossible to make it to the Olympics with 7 years of training for the LA 2028 games, but we face more obstacles than high schoolers in our area. We will do our best to guide you in choosing a school that fits your wants and needs, but it's up to you to develop those skills to make the cut. There are other secrets to getting in but will be disclosed privately to the team.

Where am I needed the most?

To be a rep of the squad in your community by engaging in fundraising projects and stepping up to be an officer. Then again by sending emails and posting to your connections about our events we will grow with you.
